Brent Sherman, Ph. D.

Brent Sherman is the real-time optimization engineer at Dow’s steam cracker LHC–8 in Freeport, TX. He is responsible for maximizing profit while maintaining safe and reliable operation. In this role, he works with the plant operations staff to coordinate changing feed slates and to optimize the plant at each feed slate.

Brent began his career at Dow in 2016, hiring in through the Operations Ph. D. program. He joined the Global Separations Technology Group in Lake Jackson, TX. There, he was responsible for distillation tower design, operation, and turnaround inspection support. He...Read more

John Gerhart

John Gerhart has worked for over 30 years as an operator of highly hazardous processes at the DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater, New Jersey.   He was also the leader of the company-wide Operator Network, called I-24, which stood for Improved 24 Hours Operations.  The I-24 network was sponsored by the 15 member corporate operations leadership team, and worked on all aspects of how to improve operations in DuPont’s US facilities:  safety and environmental leadership, shift communications, DCS training, Control systems, PSM implementation, troubleshooting, etc.   The team...Read more

Monica Wilson

Monica Wilson received her BSChE from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and her MSChE at Marshall University in Charleston, WV.    She started her career at Union Carbide in Charleston, WV during the mid 80's in R&D then transferred to Charleston Operations. 

She moved to the former ICI Paints in Strongsville, OH which is now AkzoNobel in the late 80s and it's where she's been ever since.  Monica spent over 30 years in process engineering, recently retiring from AkzoNobel where she concluded her career as a Sr. Global Process Technology Manager.

Natalie R. Krauser

Natalie R. Krauser is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) responsible for increasing individual philanthropy through management of the annual, major and named endowment fund campaigns. Natalie manages the individual giving team, whose roles span development, communications, data integrity and stewardship.
