The Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and DNV will host the Process Safety in Africa Webinar (6th Edition) on Tuesday June 24, 2025, bringing together experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to explore key focus areas driving process safety improvements across Africa region. This year’s webinar will address four critical themes:
Learning from Incidents and Near Misses – Operating companies will share lessons learned from recent process safety incidents that enable effective learning to prevent recurrence and improve safety outcomes.
Managing Ageing Assets – Sharing of industry practices to assess, maintain, and upgrade ageing infrastructure to ensure ongoing safe operations.
The Digital Transformation in Process Safety – Highlighting how digital tools and analytics are enhancing hazard identification, risk management, and real-time decision-making.
Measuring What Matters: Industry Survey on Leading Indicators in Process Safety – CCPS will also introduce industry survey to gather insights on the leading indicators used by organizations to monitor and improve their process safety performance. This initiative aims to understand current practices and drive collective progress in proactive safety management across Africa.
