2025 On-line Training Session for Chemical Hazard Engineering Fundamentals (CHEF) | AIChE

The 11-session series of 2-hour webinars via the Zoom Platform will be held by the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) from Wednesdays, February 5 through April 23, with a break for the Global Congress on Process Safety (GCPS) on April 7 through April 9, 2025.

Registration Opening Soon!

  • Sessions 1-9: February 5  to April 2, 2025 (Wednesdays) 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Eastern Time
  • SESSIONS 10-11: April 16 to April 23, 2025 (Wednesdays) 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Eastern Time

The series follows the steps in performing a Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis (HIRA) study with an emphasis on the use of simplified quantitative techniques. These simplified quantitative methods will help evaluation teams make better informed Process Safety decisions, prioritize their risk reduction efforts, and improve the analysis consistency between different teams.

Each 2-hour session will consist of two topics (two 40-45 minute presentations) with time for questions. Worked example problems will be shared in addition to references providing additional topic information. Participants will also receive one Professional Development Hour (PDH) per session hour attended.
