This January, SBE will be holding its 3rd International Conference on Biomolecular Engineering (ICBE)--a biennial celebration of all things bioengineering and a great opportunity for students, professors, and professionals to present their newest research in the field.
ICBE takes place at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco, January 16-19, 2011
Conference topics this year include:

- signaling pathways
- synthetic biology
- cellular process modifications
Call for Papers ends Wednesday, September 22, so be sure to get your abstract submissions in by then.
Three poster awards totalling $1500 will be presented, so don't miss out on this great opportunity to win recognition (monetary and otherwise) amongst your peers.
Incredibly influential engineers in the field will be speaking about their work including Frances Arnold, Vishva Dixit, Leroy Hood, and Roger Tsien. You have probably heard of some of these speakers, but as a reminder, Dr. Hood created the automated DNA sequencer and Dr. Tsien won the Nobel Prizxe in Chemistry in 2008 for his discovery of GFP.
