AIChE's 2011 Spring Meeting kicks off in Chicago on Sunday, March 13 and runs through Thursday, March 17. Our aim is to provide regular updates on ChEnected about this year's spring meeting--details and perspectives on keynotes and special events, session recaps, video interviews with presenters, and photos of the opening reception and other key events. I will be working with ChEnected author Martin Bergstedt over this next week to keep you
informed, whether you're in Chicago or elsewhere. As the week progresses, you can always come back to this post as a reference point or visit the list page devoted to posts about the Spring meeting. As we blog about some of the highlights listed below, this page will be updated with the appropriate links to the posts about those highlights.
Interested in Attending?
Online registration has closed but if you're in Chicago, you can register in person. On-site registration will be open starting 7 AM Sunday, March 13th, on the Gold Level of the East Tower of the Hyatt Regency Chicago located at 151 East Wacker Drive.
Want to Participate?
We're always looking for help, keeping ChEnected buzzing during conferences. If you have something to contribute, whether it be coverage of a session you attended or presented that you got really excited about, your perspective on a keynote speech or special event, we'd love to hear from you. You can easily submit a blog post without being a regular author if you're at the meeting. Just keep this URL in mind and mention it to others.

The global problems of sustainable energy, managing water supplies, and safety will be a prime focus of AIChE's Spring 2011 Meeting, the 7th Global Congress on Process Safety, multiple topical conferences, and short courses. Close to 2,000 chemical engineers will come together at Chicago's Hyatt Regency.
