Martin Fussenegger is a professor of biotechnology and bioengineering in the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) of ETH Zurich in Basel as well as at the University of Basel. He is also the winner of the 2015 SBE James E. Bailey Award.
Martin's lecture for this year's award is titled "Metabolic Engineering for the Treatment of Metabolic Disease." SBE associate Gabriel Levesque-Tremblay chatted with him about the lecture's key points and about winning this year's Bailey Award.
