This month, we feature a tutorial from the Learn ChemE YouTube series that deals with kinetics and reactor design. This screencast describes how to use an interactive simulation that calculates conversion at a plug flow reactor exit and the overall rate in the reactor as a function of space velocity. In this simulation, the reaction order, the rate constant, and the feed concentration can all be varied. You can see the simulation here.
There are hundreds of videos just on kinetics and reactor design in this playlist. And there are many more topics you can choose from in the Learn ChemE series. Also, if you're working with a specific textbook, you should check out the screencasts arranged by textbook chapter here.
