Nima Yazdanpanah is a research scientist at the US Food and Drug Administration whose research area covers advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies for modernizing the pharmaceutical industry. He sat down with Dr. Orlin Velev to discuss 3D printing and the advances that Dr. Velev has made in this area.
Dr. Velev is the INVISTA Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University. He delivered a talk on 3D printing titled "Three-Dimensional Printing via 'Capillary Engineering' of Multiphasic Elastomer Inks" at the 3D Printing Fundamentals and Applications session at the 2017 Annual Meeting.
Dr Velev is also this year's recipient of the Andrea Acrivos Award for Professional Progress in Chemical Engineering.
