Each summer, AIChE selects some of the country’s top, final-year engineering students to participate in a public policy initiative like few others. The WISE program (Washington Internship for Students of Engineering) is a nine-week immersion that puts participants face to face with public policymakers. During their time in Washington D.C., students grapple with the real-world opportunities and challenges of navigating the halls of government for issues related to our profession.
Over two episodes of the Foundation’s Doing a World of Good podcast, you'll hear a two-part discussion with six past participants about their WISE internship experience and how it has enhanced careers.
James Bednar, Christina Chen, Ishaan Dev, Alex Hsain, Zeyi Lin, and Victor Rodriguez share their thoughts and insights about how the program has shaped their thinking about government and industry partnership.
