This year marks 50 years for AIChE's Environmental Division, an anniversary it shares with the National Environmental Policy Act, Earth Day, and the formation of the Environmental Protection Agency itself. The Environmental Division is commemorating this landmark and celebrating the environmental contributions of chemical engineers through a series of events and publications.

In addition to various commemorative activities, we will also publish a special issue of the Environmental Division newsletter in Environmental Progress & Sustainable Energy.
The Environmental Division is seeking your opinion and submissions to commemorate 50 years of chemical engineers' work to improve the environment. Specifically, please feel free to submit:
- Excerpts from past and present work
- Anecdotes and experiences
- Relevant opinions and views
We also want to hear about your vision for chemical engineers' role in environmental issues. We're particularly interested in hearing from students and AIChE's Young Professional members if they have thoughts and opinions on future environmental goals.
