AIChE is currently accepting applications from undergraduate students for the Washington Internships for Students of Engineering (WISE) program. Applications are due February 1, 2023.
As part of AIChE Practice+, WISE interns are engineering students entering their junior or final year of undergraduate studies who are selected to conduct research on a public policy issue for nine weeks during the summer. They have the opportunity to learn about the interaction between the engineering community and the government in matters of public policy, and to see how engineers can contribute to public policy decisions in complex technological matters.
Past WISE interns have been featured here on ChEnected in this series. You can also listen to a two-part discussion on the Doing a World of Good Podcast with six past participants about their WISE experience and how it enhanced their careers (part 1 and part 2).
