On April 6, 2023, the AIChE ENSIC student chapter celebrated its inauguration in France with a gathering including Billy Bardin, AIChE President and Director of Digitalization at Dow, François Nicol, President of the French Society for Process Engineering (SFGP), and David Fichet, Innovative Projects Manager for the Vicat Group.
Created in May 2022, AIChE ENSIC is the first AIChE student chapter in France. Located in the city of Nancy, the École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques (ENSIC) is one of the eleven engineering schools attached to the University of Lorraine.
The student chapter’s goal is to organize lectures, workshops, and competitions, as well as cultural events for their members. They especially hope to host the first AIChE ChemE Jeopardy Competition in the region.
