Elizabeth Haughton
Elizabeth Haughton is a Senior Engineer A with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, South Carolina. She is a system engineer at H-Canyon, the only operating, production-scale, radiologically-shielded chemical separations facility still in operation in the United States. Her previous position was Associate Product Specialist with Ingredion in Westchester, Illinois.
She is currently a Director on the Chemical Engineering Technology Operating Council (CTOC) and a Member-at-Large with Women in Chemical Engineering (WIC).
She was formerly a member of the Societal Impact Operating Council (SIOC). She has held numerous positions within Young Professionals Committee (YPC), including Chair, Advisor, Programming Subcommittee Chair, Local Section Subcommittee Chair, Publication Subcommittee Chair, and Treasurer.
She is a member of the Central Savannah River Local Section and was formerly a member of the Chicago Local Section, where she was held numerous positions, including Chair, in their Young Professional group.
Elizabeth received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her MBA from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
In her free time, she likes to travel, cook, and play ultimate frisbee.
