This session focusses on the fundamental science and applications of microreactor systems. Microreactors, loosely defined, are reaction chambers of micro to nano-scale dimensions that host catalytic, chemical and photochemical reactions. These reactors may be synthesized as part of a larger scale bulk material or individually templated. Of most interest are reaction processes and models used to describe and predict chemical transformation events in these systems, and practical examples where such materials exhibit unique capability.
