This session is intended to help businesses and universities better understand the opportunities and threats around intellectual assets (IA) in the digital era. Topics to be considered include the role of business method patents (often computer-related), the increasing importance of electronic defensive publications, the implications of disruptive innovation theory for IA strategy, the challenges and opportunities of licensing university technology, business success stories, etc.
