Carbon nanotubes are allotropes of sp2-bonded carbon with a cylindrical nanostructure. Graphene is a one-atom-thick planar sheet of sp2-bonded carbon atoms that are densely packed in a honeycomb crystal lattice. Both carbon nanotubes and graphene have unique electrical and mechanical properties that suggest applications in a wide variety of industries.
