Honoring Howard Brenner - The Early Years

Arthur J. Goldman

I first met Howard Brenner as a young graduate student at NYU in the late 1950s. He was my professor and research advisor, but more than that he became my mentor and role model, the most important and influential person in my academic life. After completing my graduate education we went our separate ways and lost touch. Fifty years later we serendipitously reconnected as colleagues and long-lost friends, recounting our life experiences and sharing the mutual admiration that never faded.
