Memorial Session in Honor of Howard Brenner (Invited Talks)

Chair(s)

Kim, S., Purdue University

Co-chair(s)

Howard Brenner (1929-2014) was a leader in applying fundamental principles of fluid dynamics to understanding the transport of colloids and the motion of fluid interfaces. His pioneering book published in 1965 with John Happel, “Low Reynolds Number Hydrodynamics”, has been the inspiration for several generations of chemical engineers and others in their research and teaching in areas of membrane separations, motion of particles near interfaces, rheology, and the dynamics of particles and bubbles in suspension. This session pays tribute to Howard Brenner as scholar, teacher and great friend.
