The European Union Energy Pact (2008) contains a key target for the year 2020: a 20 % reduction in CO2 emissions (compared with 1990). The US will follow the similar direction in setting up CO2 regulation in the near future. It is clear that it is a big challenge for the industry to achieve 20% reduction in CO2 emissions from the 1990 level.
This presentation will describe Honeywell Energy Management solutions for refining and petrochemical industry. Honeywell Energy management solutions involve a lot more than just modernizing utility systems, although for many sites the utilities plant is an area that has often been neglected.
Honeywell's experience has shown that a 12 to 25% energy reduction is achievable by implementing a comprehensive energy management solution with attractive returns on capital investment.
