Abstract

A considerable amount of BOG is generated during the LNG tanker loading for the base load LNG plant. Jetty BOG of the old generation baseload LNG has not been recovered, since the jetty BOG generation is intermittent and to recover the jetty BOG is costly. However recent concern about the global warming by CO2 emission from the flare stack, the jetty BOG recovery has become significant issue, nowadays. Generally speaking, the BOG is leaner compared with the baseload feed gas, therefore to recovery the BOG as feed gas will have some effect to the liquefaction performance. This study has checked the liquefaction performance when the BOG has been recovered as feed gas to the liquefaction process, using process simulation program CHEMCAD by Chemstation.
