Adam Ward
Adam Ward is a Research Assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London supervised by Dr Ronny Pini and Dr Maria Papathanasiou. His research focusses on the application of modern techniques in numerical modelling, statistics, and optimisation to design efficient and novel adsorption-based CO2 capture processes. His current research studies the integration of direct air capture units in the UK energy system, funded by the Industrial Decarbonisation Research and Innovation Centre (IDRIC). Adam also works as a carbon capture and storage consultant, providing advice and analysis for the deployment of CCS systems at climate-relevant scales. He graduated with an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College in 2020, where his studies were focused on process modelling, optimisation and control.
