He works toward integration and digital transformation of process safety concepts & practices to develop practical dynamic operational risk tools able to predict changes in cumulative risk of major accidents and guide decision making processes during operational phase of assets. Key process safety concepts & practices that Ahmed is focusing on are dynamic bowties risk models, barrier management, situational awareness, deviation monitoring & control, abnormal situational management, in addition to staff competency & technical capabilities assurance.
