Allison De Man is a Process Safety Engineer in Training with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. She is currently working at ACM Facility Safety, a process safety consulting, training, and software technology company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She is part of an Innovation & Technology team developing a PHA Analytics Tool called “Risk Alive” that extracts further value from process hazard analysis studies. She is currently leading a team of engineers and data scientists in analyzing PHA data to develop process safety metrics and comparative analytics to generate valuable insights and learnings. The ultimate goal of the “Risk Alive” project is to incorporate PHA data along with incident, audit, and field data to identify trends and ultimately build a risk predictability model to prevent unsafe days.
