Andreas Kottlan

Born in 1992 in Austria, Andreas Kottlan entered the bachelor’s program for Process Engineering at Graz University of technology in 2012. During his studies he worked at the laboratory and measurement equipment supplier Anton Paar as a mechanical engineer. After finishing the master’s program with a thesis on calibration of parameters for DEM simulations in 2018 he started his PhD in the group of Prof. Johannes Khinast at the Institute of Process and Particle Engineering at Graz University of Technology. In his PhD he focuses on the development of a small-scale direct compression process for the manufacturing of individualized tablets and the challenges emerging from each unit operation linked to this task.
