Anne Bertelsmann

Anne Bertelsmann, PhD, PE, is the PHA and LOPA Coordinator for the Refining Organization within Marathon Petroleum Company LP. In her role, she guides the implementation of LOPA across all Marathon Refineries. Prior to her current role, she worked at BP’s Texas City Refinery, where she was responsible for PSM assurance on projects as well as supervised and conducted LOPA studies. She is a qualified LOPA facilitator. Anne has almost 20 years’ experience working in a variety of roles in the chemical, pharmaceutical and refining industries. She received her engineering diploma from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester, NY. She is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas.
