Anthony Downes

Tony Downes is an independent PSM consultant with more than 40 years of industrial experience in operations and PSM. Before retiring to form Downes Process Safety LLC, he was Director and Global Process Safety Advisor at Honeywell Performance Materials. Tony is also a recognized expert in Digitalization to improve Process Safety. Before leaving Honeywell, he acted as Advisor for Honeywell’s work on process safety digitalization for a major Middle Eastern national oil company. Tony is a CCPS-Certified process safety engineer, a TUV-Certified functional safety engineer and a CCPS Fellow. He has made more than 20 presentations at process safety conferences.
