Babak Rafi

Babak Rafienia is a senior chemical engineer with specialty in oil & gas separation and distillation technologies. Babak's main focus is on troubleshooting, revamping, and retrofitting separation and fractionation units and towers for various sectors of energy industry from gas processing plants to refineries and off-shore platforms, globally. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering with focus on oil-gas separation and mass transfer and published several technical articles in these fields. He has conducted multiple separation technology seminars in his area of expertise for AIChE local sections and Young Professional (YP) groups. Babak is also Education Officer at AICHE-South Texas Local Section (AIChE-STS and one of the largest local sections) and Executive Member and Secretary of AIChE Management Division.
