Cheng Zhu

Holding a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, I and am currently a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder (#14 of chemical engineering graduate program by U.S. News & World Report). My research focuses on interfacial engineering, understanding and applications of nanomaterials combining experiments and simulations (molecular simulations and quantum mechanics), aiming to solve the challenges and accelerate materials discovery in catalysis, energy conversion, carbon nanomaterials, self-assembly, bio-nanoscience and force field simulations. My research efforts have resulted in 36 publications (another 3 in progress) with 10 first (co-first) author articles and 2 covers, an H index of 27, and 1900 total citations (Google Scholar). Main articles include 1 AM, 1 PNAS, 2 ACS Catalysis, 3 Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, and 1 Small. I delivered approximately 5 talks and presented 3 posters at conferences nationally including ACS, MRS, and AIChE.
