Clayton J. Dahlman

Clayton Dahlman is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Santa Barbara, working within Prof. Michael Chabinyc's laboratory. He has a BS from Columbia University, and obtained his Ph.D. with Prof. Delia Milliron, initially in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department at the University of California, Berkeley (MS) and finishing at the Chemical Engineering department at the University of Texas at Austin (Ph.D.). Clayton is broadly interested in how dynamic structural, electronic and optical transformations occur in colloidal semiconductors, with a focus on energy applications including photovoltaics and charge storage. Clayton also serves as Co-Founder and member of the board of Emerging Leaders in Technology and Engineering, Inc., an educational non-profit based in New York City that delivers rigorous hands-on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs for primary and secondary school students in under-resourced communities in the U.S. and abroad.
