Dane is currently an independent consultant in olefin recovery processing, selective hydrogenation processes and NOx safety issues. Before becoming a consultant, Dane had 32 years of experience working at ExxonMobil in a variety of areas including 10 years in basic catalysis research and 10 years in applied research supporting steam cracking technology. This prior experience also included 12 years of experience providing technical support to ExxonMobil Chemicals steam cracker plants in olefin recovery processing including selective C4 hydrogenation, Pygas hydrogenation, fouling issues, butadiene extraction, MTBE processing, contaminant removal and safety issues associated with recovery of refinery gases in ethylene plants. Dane has been granted 21 US patents and has made numerous technical presentations at National Conferences and has authored a number of technical papers. Dane obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Penn State and his master’s and doctorate’s degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois.
