David Musgrave

David leads DEKRA’s Human Performance Reliability group, creating practical improvement to sustainable safety with leaders and teams through psychology and applied neuroscience. David has worked for the last 20yrs with executives through frontline team members on safety improvement and adding protective value within organizations by focusing on leadership development, decision science at all levels, and critical error prevention. David’s background includes clinical psychotherapeutic practice, targeted at getting the most from the brain’s performance. David has designed and implemented change initiatives around the world to help numerous multinational companies exceed performance targets and lead their industry in performance. His work demonstrates that the human brain operates in predictable ways that can be harnessed to drive "right first time" work, and keeping operations in control. He currently works across industry sectors including construction, aviation, pharma, and manufacturing. He often partners with the National Safety Council, the American Society for Safety Professionals, and the Conference Board’s EHS Council to shape how safe decision making improves across North America.
