Dimitrios Gerogiorgis is a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering and a Royal Society Sh. Industrial Fellow at the Institute for Materials and Processes (IMP) of the School of Engineering in the University of Edinburgh. He holds a Diploma in Chem. Eng. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a MSc in Elec. & Comp. Eng. and a PhD in Chem. Eng. from Carnegie Mellon University, under Fulbright and Onassis Fellowships. He held a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at Imperial College London, served as a Novartis-MIT Postdoctoral Fellow and developed materials technologies as Senior Researcher at NTUA. His research portfolio encompasses process systems modeling, simulation and technoeconomic optimization of pharmaceutical, food and drink, hydrocarbon and energy systems.
