Edward Yost is a Scientist 4 in the Synthetic Molecule Pharmaceutics Group at Genentech. He implements mechanical property and process simulation strategies to develop inhalation and solid-oral dosage formulations. A graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Ed has 23 years of diverse experience in pre-clinical to late-stage, small molecule drug product development, including projects resulting in the commercialization of BREO® Ellipta, YUPELRI® inhalation solution, VIBATIV® for injection, and COTELLIC® tablets. His research has been published or presented in prominent journals and conferences, with the most recent publication in the International Journal of Pharmaceutics concerning the unloading process of that tableting process for pharmaceutically relevant materials. Ed is on the executive committee of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientist’s Bay Area Discussion Group.
