Elena Prats

Ms. Prats is a ChemE with over 19 years of technical experience in operations, process engineering, process safety, and managerial experience leading process safety teams. At Total Petrochemicals she was responsible for supervising daily plant operations, providing engineering technical support, and developing/implementing corporate safety standards. In 2012, she decided to take new challenges in North America, in process safety consulting, where she rapidly became the firm’s PSM Leader. She is experienced in leading and facilitating process hazard analysis, audits, facility siting studies, quantitative risk analyses, pressure relief and flare system design, and training. The combination of her personal and technical skills allows her to develop and consolidate the strategies required to define, implement, and sustain Process Safety and Risk Management systems. After 9 years in in process safety consulting, Ms. Prats went back to a corporate position, as Cargill’s Process Safety Director for the North America Region.
