Beth is the global leader for risk and consequence modeling at Air Products. Her responsibilities include the management and development risk and consequence modeling tools, both in-house tools and commercially available software such as PHAST and PHAST-Risk. She manages the development and maintenance of internal Process Safety Analysis Methods (PSAMs) to ensure global consistency in risk and consequence modeling. Recent work has been focused on assessing risks from flammable and toxic underground pipelines and from flat-bottomed liquid oxygen tanks. Beth began her professional career at Air Products in 1996. Her initial assignments were in process technology and process engineering. In 1998, she moved into process safety. Beth earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University. At Georgia Tech, she earned Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Her PhD research involved computational and experimental modeling of cardiovascular flow and mass transfer.
