Mr. Flores is a Research Scientist in the Chemical Engineering Department at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Tx. He has worked at Southwest Research Institute since 2002 where he created and implemented experimental techniques to support chemical processes development. Mr. Flores now leads the Fuels and Energy Development team where he manages the development and operation of chemical processes for advanced fuel and energy technologies at lab-and-demonstration scale. His large projects include: assisting in developing a new Carbon Capture and Sequestration technology for a small business and operating a heavy oil upgrading test facility. Mr. Flores holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Master’s of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
