After graduating from Franklin & Marshall College in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Elyse Baroncini worked for a small company north of Philadelphia manufacturing analytical instrumentation. She spent three years traveling the globe as an applications engineer before leaving her position to pursue graduate studies. In 2019, Elyse received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rowan University investigating the use of bio-based materials in high performance applications, particularly in lithium-ion batteries. As a 2017 Department of Defense SMART Scholarship recipient, Elyse currently works for the U.S. Army as a research chemical engineer developing advanced polymer electrolytes.
