Fabian Zitman studied Applied Cognitive Psychology at the University of Leiden where he was taught by well-known safety psychologists. The Tripod theory and safety culture was further developed by these psychologists. As a result, Fabian is now educated on the cutting edge in safety. His skill-set includes Bowtie Risk analysis, Tripod Beta incident investigation, safety culture and human factors. Fabian Zitman is now a member of a team of safety specialists at CGE Risk Management Solutions to develop new applications for the Bowtie method, and barrier based thinking in general. As a product manager, he gives both practical demonstrations on how to use the software and theoretical background on the bowtie method. His work includes traveling the globe (with a specialization in the Americas) to teach on the bowtie methodology, presenting at conferences and staying up to date with the latest research on risk management.
