Firas Khalil

Firas Khalil is the Head of Digital Enterprise Lab within Siemens Process Automation, Digital Industries Division located in Alpharetta, Georgia. He holds a M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Siegen in Germany and has over 15 years of experience in the energy and industry sector with focus on Automation, Digitalization and Electrification. As the Head of Digital Enterprise Lab, Firas Khalil and his team are focused on data-driven customer value through co-creational, agile and analytical AI/ML solution developments with customers in the Oil & Gas, Waste Water, Pulp & Paper, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Mining business; scalability and speed are key. In addition, Firas Khalil is Co-Chairing the Standards Body Liaison within The Open Group where he acts as an interface between the Open Process Automation Forum and Standards Development Organizations.
