Gabriela Romero Uribe

Dr. Gabriela Romero is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio since August 2017. Dr. Romero did her undergraduate in Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi in Mexico. She also holds a PhD in Applied Chemistry and Polymer Science, and a M.S. in Advanced Materials Engineering from the Universidad del Pais Vasco, Spain. She did two postdocs, one at the University of Kentucky and the second at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to join UTSA, she was a Senior Scientist at Vindico Pharmaceuticals. At UTSA, her Macromolecular Bio-Interfaces laboratory investigates soft-biomedical materials to manipulate biological signaling and behavior.
