I am currently developing computational models (written in Matlab and Python) at ORNL to simulate the fast pyrolysis of biomass particles in fluidized-bed reactors. This research will improve the understanding of bubbling fluidized-bed and circulating fluidized-bed reactors for production of bio-oil which can be refined into transportation fuels and high commodity chemicals. My educational background consists of two M.S. degrees from Clemson University in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Engineering & Earth Science and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematical Sciences. Previous research includes work at Savannah River Site and Clemson University’s Intelligent River Project.
