Jafaru Egieya

Dr. Jafaru M. Egieya is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Texas A&M Energy Institute. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, focusing on supply chain optimization for alternative energy generation to advance energy transition. He also holds a Master's in Nuclear Engineering and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. With over a decade of research and professional experience, Dr. Egieya was a Research Fellow at Stellenbosch University and a Scientific Officer at the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission. He also worked as a Business Development Analyst in Nigeria’s light manufacturing sector. His current research centers on the water-energy-food nexus, employing systems dynamics modelling to analyze trade-offs and synergies, with applications in Africa and the Gulf of Mexico.
