Mr. Zhao, Jianan is currently a Ph.D. student marjoring chemical engineering. His Ph.D. research focuses on the establishment of computational models using interdisciplinary engineering fundamentals, to resolve pulmonary health related problems with quantitative data for inhalable aerosols transport and deposition in human respiratory systems. Specifically, to accurately simulate the transport and deposition of particulate matters, the essential physics and chemical mechanisms must be considered, such as the effect of non-spherical shaped particles and particle-particle interactions, which will influence the prediction accuracy of their trajectories and their deposition locations in human respiratory systems.
