Jiayu Peng
Peng, J.
Jiayu Peng is a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, supervised by Prof. Rafael Gómez-Bombarelli. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2022 from the same institute, advised by Prof. Yang Shao-Horn, and his B.Sc. in 2017 from the University of Science and Technology of China. His research bridges physics-informed and data-driven catalyst designs to decarbonize chemical transformations by combining physical chemistry, material descriptors, atomistic simulations, advanced characterizations, and machine learning. Jiayu has been awarded the IUPAC-Zhejiang NHU International Award for Advancements in Green Chemistry for Young Chemists from the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, a Graduate Student Award from the Materials Research Society, and the inaugural ENFL Future Investigator Spotlight from the Energy and Fuels Division of the American Chemical Society.
