I envision the widespread adoption of cost-effective biosensor platforms that continuously and unobtrusively monitor biochemical profiles in biofluids such as sweat and gastrointestinal fluids, enabling predictive, personalized healthcare. My background in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Medical Engineering has equipped me with expertise in developing wearable and ingestible sensor devices. During my PhD, I integrated electrochemical sensors into flexible, miniaturized wearable platforms for real-time biochemical monitoring in human studies. I also developed battery-free wearables powered by biofuel cells and triboelectric nanogenerators for wireless detection of electrolytes and metabolites. In my postdoctoral work, I expanded into ingestible devices, adapting wireless sensor technologies to monitor key biochemical markers in the gastrointestinal tract. My work has been published in journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Electronics, and Science Advances. Furthermore, my work has earned honors such as the SPIE Best Paper Award and MRS Graduate Student Award.
