John F. Murphy

John Murphy, PE, CCPSC Process Safety Services Email: hamjfm@embarqmail.com John has 50 years of experience in chemical manufacturing and process safety. He is an internationally recognized expert on process safety. He has previously worked as a lead investigator for the U. S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board and as a leader in process safety for the Dow Chemical Company. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers where he is a leader in the Safety and Health Division and a Fellow, Emeritus member and Staff Consultant of the Technical Steering Committee of the Center for Chemical Process Safety . He is the senior editor of AIChE’s journal, Process Safety Progress, He is one of the developers and presently an instructor for the AIChe Process Safety Boot Camp. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and an M. B. A. from Central Michigan University.
