I attended high school in Glasgow, Scotland, before receiving an MEng degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. In partial fulfilment of my Master's degree, I spent six months at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, researching heterogeneous catalysis for biofuel production. This experience prompted my decision to pursue a Ph.D. at NC State, where I'm currently studying the valorisation of stranded natural gas resources over Ni-based heterogeneous catalysts under Professor H. Henry Lamb. Outside the lab, my main interests are playing and watching sport, playing the piano, cooking, reading and walking my goldendoodle, Poppy.
