Karen Study

After graduating with a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas in 1993, Karen Study began a career at Rohm and Haas. From 1993 to 1997, she was a process engineer and was awarded two patents for her optimization work at a Methacrylate facility. From 1997 to 2000, Karen worked in research as well as design engineering in support of a large acrylic acid project. In 2001, she began working in the process safety expertise area. Rohm and Haas was acquired by The Dow Chemical Company in 2009, this is where Karen is currently employed as a process safety risk analyst and QRA subject matter expert supporting global operations.
