Katelyn Kelsey is currently the Mobility Technology Engineer within the Digital Operations Center (DOC) at Dow. She has evaluated, developed, and implemented solutions across several technology domains, including ruggedized hardware, wearable devices, mobile worker connectivity, advanced process control, and wireless network infrastructure. Most recently, she is driving efforts in developing and implementing the infrastructure and connected field professional capabilities for Dow’s Digital Manufacturing Acceleration program. Katelyn serves as Dow’s program manager for interactions with MxD, the digital advanced manufacturing institute where she also led efforts to develop and deploy a process industry test bed for piloting digital manufacturing and connected worker capabilities. Katelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with concentration in software development from the University of Texas and holds certification as an Engineering in Training (EIT) with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Katelyn is a Technology expert in Siemens Process Control Suites (PCS 7 and TIA Portal) and has presented her work in this area at multiple conferences. She has served as a director for the International Society of Automation (ISA) Image and Membership Committee and as a member of the ISA Education Committee. Katelyn has been an active coach and mentor for the FIRST robotics program as well as in promoting women in STEM. Most recently, Katelyn was awarded the 2022 Next-Generation Leadership Award by the National Association of Manufacturers' Manufacturing Leadership Council.
