Kim B. McAuley
Kim McAuley is a Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at Queen’s University. She completed her B.A.Sc. at University of Waterloo and her Ph.D. at McMaster University where she received the Governor-General’s Gold Medal. At Queen’s, she received a Premier’s Research Excellence Award, the MITACS Mentorship Award of Excellence, the Queen’s University Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Supervision, and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. She currently serves as Associate Dean in the School of Graduate Studies. Dr. McAuley’s research on mathematical modeling of chemical processes helps chemical companies to reduce costs and improve product quality. She has coauthored more than 100 refereed journal articles related to mathematical models, parameter estimation and polymers. She serves on the International Advisory Boards for Macromolecular Theory & Simulation and Macromolecular Reaction Engineering. She is Associate Editor for Chemical Engineering Journal.
